Harvestville Farm is excited to announce On Farm Events taking place throughout the year in 2026! Returning event favorites include our Farm-to-Table Dinners, Zinnia Flower Festival, Sunflower Festival, and Hot Air Balloon Glow, just to name a few! Several NEW events are also making their debut this year as well including: Cocktail Classes, Ladies Luncheons, Hand-On Classes, and Concerts! Check back frequently and watch our social media platforms for the latest updated details on all events you won’t want to miss!

Please Note: Guests wanting tickets to the Hot Air Balloon Glow will purchase tickets online and pay in FULL. Once purchased, tickets to these events are non-refundable and are required for entry the day/night of the event. It will be the purchasers responsibility to find a replacement guest if he/she is unable to attend.

Harvestville Academy: Potting Party

Sunday, April 26 - 1pm - 3pm

Kick off the Spring Season by joining us for a hands-on Potting Party at the farm! Create either two small pots or one large custom planter using a beautiful selection of plants and all provided materials—pots, soil, and fertilizer, along with all the help you want! This fun class also includes a cocktail and light appetizers for you to enjoy as you design your perfect arrangement. PLUS, class participants will also receive a discount coupon to be one of the FIRST to shop in the retail barn prior to us opening for the season that afternoon! $65/person – This class has limited availability to keep the class personal and intimate. Harvestville Academy: Create & Make Your Own Spring Wreath

Thursday, April 30 at 6pm

Enjoy a creative, hands-on class where you will be guided step-by-step on designing a beautiful seasonal spring wreath using spring-inspired silks and ribbons. No experience needed as this class will guide you each and every step of the way. Class also includes a cocktail and light appetizers to enjoy as you’re creating as well as receiving a discount coupon to be one of the FIRST to shop in the retail barn following class. Award Winning Farm-to-Table Dinners

Harvestville Farm is excited to announce this year’s Farm to Table Dinners for the 2026 season! Each Farm-to-Table Dinner will feature fresh produce picked straight from our garden, along with locally grown fruits, vegetables, and meats prepared by area chefs within our regional community. Seasonal menus are chosen as collaborations between each chef and our farm to enhance our guest’s dining experience through incredible flavors, textures, and vibrant color presentations.

Farm to Table Dinners are a wonderful way to have a truly authentic dining experience set within Southeast Iowa’s beautiful countryside. Harvestville Academy: Creating an Orchid Oasis

Sunday, May 3 - 1pm - 3pm

Enjoy creating your own stunning living centerpiece in this hands-on class focused on Orchids. This class will guide you step-by-step on designing a beautiful glass terrarium featuring a vibrant orchid, layered with natural elements like bark, moss, and decorative store to create a balanced and eye-catching display. 

We’ll walk you through proper orchid care, terrarium layering techniques, and styling tips so your creation thrives long after the class ends. All materials are provided and no experience is needed. Class also includes a cocktail and light appetizers to enjoy as you’re creating as well as receiving a discount coupon to shop in the retail barn following class. Opening for the 2026 Season

Tuesday, May 5

The farm will be re-opening for the 2026 season on Tuesday, May 5! The retail barn will be filled with all things spring! A beautiful array of farmhouse home decor and gift items will also be accompanied by low maintenance house plants and succulents. Fresh homegrown veggies and locally grown fruits will also be available, along with local honey, syrups, cheeses, meats, jams, salsas and relishes.

Cocktail Class: Cocktail Crafting Basics 101

Thursday, May 21 at 7pm

Come and spend a fun, hands-on class where you will learn the fundamentals of mixing great drinks at home. We’ll cover essential tools, simple techniques, and flavor pairings while you create and enjoy a few classic cocktails. Thursday, June 4 at 7pm

Enjoy a unique and interactive cocktail class where you will learn how to create delicious cocktails from farm-fresh ingredients! Using a variety of herbs, fruits, and other botanical elements, you’ll learn how to craft sophisticated cocktails that are as beautiful as they are flavorful. Summer Concert: William Elliott Whitmore

We are THRILLED to welcome William Elliott Whitmore back to Harvestville Farm! William Elliott Whitmore is a powerful, Iowa-born folk musician known for his raw, soulful voice and deeply rooted Americana sound. Harvestville Academy Class: The Glass Sanctuary

Enjoy a relaxed, hands-on creative experience where you will design your own living glass garden from start to finish while enjoying a refreshing cocktail, light refreshments, and great company. Learn the basics of layering, plant selection, and care while crafting a beautiful, low-maintenance terrarium to take home – no experience necessary! Friday, June 12 & Saturday, June 13 10am - 5pm

Take a rural road trip to locations throughout Lee County featuring local area businesses offering store specials stretching from downtown Keokuk and Fort Madison to surrounding small towns and hidden nooks and crannies within the county. Painting in the Petals

Join us for an evening of paint, petals, and pretty views at Harvestville Farm’s Sunflower and Zinnia field on Wednesday, July 22 from 6pm – 7:30pm 
 
Surrounded by rows of golden sunflowers and bursts of colorful zinnias, local artist and art educator, Ann Canida, of C.G. Designs will guide you in creating your own 8×10 floral masterpiece using watercolor. Participants will explore simple techniques to capture the texture, movement, and vibrant color of these cheerful blooms — painting from both real life and photo references, right in the heart of Harvestville’s beautiful flower field.
 
Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to unwind creatively in nature. Open to all ages! All materials and seating are provided.

Harvestville Academy: Golden Hour Blooms - Sunflowers/Zinnias

Gather the beauty of summer in this hands-on floral arranging class. Using freshly picked sunflowers and vibrant zinnias, you’ll create a stunning, garden-inspired arrangement to take home. All materials are provided—including your vase, flowers, and guided assistance—so you can relax, get creative, and enjoy the simple joy of working with blooms straight from the field. $35/person – Tickets available soon!

Concert: Steve McLain

Come and spend an unforgettable evening listening to the VERY talented Steve McLain! Steve McLain is a prominent Fairfield, Iowa-based singer, songwriter, and musician known for his work with the Jefferson County Green Band and as a CCR tribute performer. He performs rock, country, and original music, featuring a, “rare,” and, “electrifying,” voice, often playing in local Iowa venues.  Details and tickets coming soon!

Hot Air Balloon Glow at the Farm

The farm will become all things fall beginning Saturday, September 5!  Hundreds of pumpkins, squash & gourds will be available for purchase along with hardy mums, corn stalks, and fall annuals! Family activity areas will also be open with over 45+ interactive family activities including tractor wagon rides, 12-acre corn maze and both jump pads!

Grandparents Day at the Farm

Join us for our 4th Annual “A Taste of Harvestville Farm”  Meet a few of the local growers and producers that we do business with and showcase their amazing product at our farm! Lots of tasty samples will be available, along with some giveaways, and an opportunity meet, greet, and ask questions with some of the owners! Tull Honey Farm, Great River Maple, Kathy’s Kitchen, Home Sweet Home, Show Me HH Farms, Deal’s Orchard, Hinterland Dairy, and Wingert Bakehaus just to name a few!  We will also have sampelings of some of our favorite squash varities we grow right here at Harvestville Farm! You won’t want to miss this free event happening from 11am – 3pm! 

First Responders Appreciation Day

Join us at Harvestville Farm on Sunday, September 28 for “First Responder Appreciation Day!” This one day special event is dedicated to honoring the bravery and service of our local heroes. This family-friendly day will allow all past and/or active first responders – police officers, firefighters, EMT’s, dispatchers and paramedics along with past and/or present active military personnel to enjoy all activities on the farm for FREE with valid ID. Come an enjoy a day of celebration in the beautiful setting of Harvestville Farm! We SO appreciate all past and present first responders and military personnel!

Air Evac Lands at the Farm

Air Evac Helicopter will land at the farm at 2pm (pending no emergencies) Kids and families will get the opportunity to watch the aircraft land, meet and visit with the pilots, sit in the helicopter, snap pictures, and watch the helicopter take off! This fall event is a must see!

Flashlight Maze Night

Back by POPULAR demand – our Flashlight Maze Night will take place ONE night only this season! Come and trek through our 12-acre corn maze by flashlight! If you thought our maze was challenging during the day try attempting the many twist and turns at night for an entirely different experience! This family-friendly event is perfect for all ages! Come out Saturday, October 10 from 7pm – 10pm – Cost $10/person – Last Admittance into the maze at 9:30 pm

Holiday Cocktail Party

We’re having a Holiday Cocktail Party at the farm!  Come and enjoy a NEW holiday experience this Christmas Season! Guests can sample a variety of holiday cocktails from wine, mixed drinks, Harvestville Ole Fashions, and after dinner drinks all while sampling an array of holiday Hors d’oeuvres and appetizers! Cocktail and Hors d’oeuvre recipes will be given away, as well, to help with your holiday gatherings this season! Holiday Shopping will also be available that evening, along with store specials and a chance to win a holiday gift basket! This event will be limited to 50 guests!
